Hawkathlon

Hawkathlon is a FREE adaptive challenge course taking place on April 12, 2025, at the University of Iowa’s Campus Recreation & Wellness Center, welcoming participants of all abilities. The participants will be divided into 3 groups, which will involve running or walking on the track, engaging with 7 different stations, and having the option for a group workout activity. Participants can choose to go through as many or as few stations as they like. After 20 minutes, the 3 groups will rotate so everyone can experience each activity, and all participants will finish with one final lap around the track.

Each participant will have the option to complete the course with a buddy to help encourage and motivate them to keep going! All of our stations will have various adaptations. Our goal for the event is to create opportunities for people with disabilities and support a healthy lifestyle, regardless of personal circumstances.

All participants will receive a medal for completing the challenge course at the finish line and will be entered to win some raffle prizes.
