About
As one of the first Health and Human Physiology instructors with whom many students come into contact, I feel an obligation to set the tone for expectations before they progress into more advanced courses. It is important to find balance. I strive to maintain an appropriate level of rigor, but to also provide support in the form of office hours, prompt email responses, and compassion. I find it essential to communicate expectations of responsibility along with encouragement. Perhaps most importantly, I try to be open-minded and evolve my teaching as student needs and technology change.
