How to Print Your Conference Poster
When deciding how to print a conference poster, two main considerations are usually time and cost. HHP Showcase Poster Session is Friday, May 3, 2024.
Be sure to give yourself and the printer enough time to process the request and print your poster. This is an especially busy time of the year for print shops, so proper planning is a must.
There are several UI campus departments that offer printing for your academic & research posters. All printing charges may vary depending on the service you require. Be sure to work with your instructor, advisor, or principal investigator to secure your funding before submitting your request for printing. Services will most likely be rejected until a funding source is provided.

Poster Development Tips
- Standard posters size fit on mounted boards that are 36" tall by 70" wide.
- Keep accessibility in mind when designing your poster. Checkout the U.S. National Science Foundation's poster session information page.
- The material should be well labeled and legible from a distance of 10 to 15 feet away. Lettering should be bold. Use a large sans serif font such as Veranda.
- Consider the Better Research Poster design for an easy-to-digest poster design.
